Football Central Rules and guide lines

Rules are basically the same.

 Review all college and NFL games weekly with spreads from "Weekly games" page
 Pick 10 games (not 9, so count 'em first) college or pro from the list
 All wins are counted and are accumlative
 You will make about 225 picks if you go from beginning to Super Bowl.
Suday night and Monday night games are bonus games (properly called CRACK games) *Bonus games should not be part of your ten weekly games
 I smooth the Crack games to even spreads so you "may" push
A push is STILL a loss
 $50 to start, $50 at Thanksgiving to continue
 I will continue to dig up spreads from everywhere, so they may not match your newspaper, ESPN   or whatever sites you look at but we all pick from the same list so there are no advantages. 
All Bowl games will have "half" spreads to avoid pushes and are done separate from our ten.

 I prefer all picks in by Friday night, Saturday early morning at latest
No one, I mean no one cares or copies your picks so get them in early. Weekly Saturday cut off is noon.

Top one/third of the players earn $$$$
 
 Bonus (Crack) Games DO NOT have to be put in the same time with your 10 picks
Bonus games can be called/e-mailed in up to game time
 Bonus' are +2 for a win, -2 for a loss still. So it is possible to go NEGATIVE for the week!
Bowl games will be posted weekly INSTEAD of in bulk when the time comes
 National Championship game will be +2 without a penalty
Super Bowl will be +2 also
The "over" will be the tie braker for SB still done in order of place
NFL playoff games/picks will put in the order of place (like NASCAR does when pole qualifying is rained out). I love cross sport references!

 I still will work with you on missed, cancelled and postponed games.  If you miss a week, you double up the next week but it is REALLY hard making up ground that way.

LEAGUE DISCLAIMER:

Now for the most important rule.  I take/log in your picks as they come in, answer all your questions, solve any picking problems and my picks will be one of the first in each week.  Contrary to popular belief, I don't sit at the PC and phone waiting for your picks to come in.  So at game times the picks may not be all logged in on the site, they will be caught up when I get a chance.  From my log-in to when they show up for you, runs between 5-10 minutes. The main thing is you get your picks in on time.  Some Sunday evenings I'm out, so Crack games will be added ASAP upon my return.  In the past, some have taken this whole "game" a little too seriously.  I've tried to "weed" those folks out year to year. This is a fun thing amoung friends, remember that.  If anyone gets a bit too pushy and is taking the fun out of this for the group or myself, I reserve the right to dump you.  You may lose a prorated amount, so friendliness is welcome but it doesn't pay if you are a huge pain in my ass!
